Position Title: Remittance Clerk (Teller)
Department: Operations / Branch Network
Reports To: Branch Manager / Operations Supervisor
Al Ansari Exchange is hiring enthusiastic and detail-oriented Remittance Clerks (Tellers) to join its expanding network of branches across the UAE.
This is an exciting customer-facing role where you will process financial transactions, manage cash operations, and deliver exceptional service to local and international clients.
As a Remittance Clerk, you will serve as the face of Al Ansari Exchange—helping customers send money across borders, exchange currencies, and manage transactions securely and efficiently.
As a Remittance Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and secure financial operations. Your main duties will include:
Handle daily cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and remittances.
Receive, verify, and process various types of financial transfers (local and international).
Accurately record all transactions in the system and ensure compliance with company policies.
Balance cash drawers at the start and end of each shift to ensure zero discrepancies.
Detect counterfeit currency and adhere to anti-fraud protocols.
Process foreign exchange, money transfers, and bill payments using company systems.
Ensure all remittance details are accurate, complete, and compliant with local and international regulations.
Maintain knowledge of exchange rates and update customers on applicable fees, rates, and charges.
Support customers with instant money transfer services such as Western Union, MoneyGram, and Al Ansari Exchange digital services.
Greet customers warmly and assist them with their financial transactions.
Deliver accurate information about services, rates, and promotions.
Resolve customer queries efficiently while maintaining a professional and friendly approach.
Uphold the company’s image by ensuring every customer interaction is positive, respectful, and solution-focused.
Follow company policies and procedures in line with UAE Central Bank regulations.
Implement and adhere to AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) procedures.
Maintain strict confidentiality of customer information and financial data.
Report any suspicious transactions or irregularities immediately to the compliance officer.
Maintain transaction logs, receipts, and supporting documentation accurately.
Support the branch in daily operational reporting, audits, and reconciliations.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work area and ensure readiness for inspections or audits.
Participate in periodic training sessions to stay updated with company systems and new regulatory guidelines.
To be considered for the Remittance Clerk (Teller) role, candidates must possess the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in cash handling, customer service, or financial operations—preferably in a bank, exchange house, or financial institution.
Strong numerical skills with a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic proficiency is an advantage).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and experience using transaction management software or POS systems.
Knowledge of foreign currencies and remittance processes.
