Al Ansari Financial Services is looking for a Manager – Employee Relations to lead and strengthen its Employee Relations (ER) function. This role is central to promoting a positive, compliant, and inclusive workplace, ensuring that employees feel heard, supported, and valued.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and staff, managing employee grievances, overseeing workplace investigations, ensuring compliance with UAE Labour Law, and enhancing overall employee satisfaction and engagement.
The Manager – Employee Relations will play a critical role in maintaining a fair, consistent, and transparent workplace culture. Your duties will include:
Develop and implement employee relations strategies that align with the company’s mission, values, and HR objectives.
Promote a positive work environment by fostering trust, respect, and open communication across all levels of the organization.
Partner with HR leadership and management teams to create and implement policies that encourage employee engagement and retention.
Lead and manage grievance handling and disciplinary investigations in a fair, impartial, and compliant manner.
Ensure that all employee complaints, misconduct cases, and conflicts are addressed promptly and confidentially.
Conduct thorough investigations, gather evidence, interview involved parties, and prepare detailed case reports.
Provide clear, well-documented recommendations and resolutions in line with UAE Labour Law and company policy.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of UAE Labour Law, company policies, and employment regulations.
Advise leadership on legal and compliance risks related to employee relations issues.
Ensure all ER practices are aligned with government regulations and ethical business standards.
Collaborate with legal advisors when required to mitigate potential compliance or legal risks.
Serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for employees, ensuring that their concerns are heard and addressed appropriately.
Build strong relationships with employees across departments to understand workplace dynamics and morale.
Facilitate open communication channels between management and staff to encourage a culture of feedback and continuous improvement.
Manage and mediate workplace conflicts with fairness, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Train managers and team leaders in conflict management, communication, and problem-solving.
Encourage early intervention and proactive resolution of issues before they escalate.
Review, develop, and implement HR and ER policies to support a transparent and compliant workplace.
Ensure that employees are aware of and understand company policies, procedures, and their rights and responsibilities.
Work closely with HR teams to update employee handbooks, disciplinary procedures, and communication guidelines.
Support the design and implementation of employee engagement programs to improve morale and retention.
Gather feedback through surveys, focus groups, and interviews to identify improvement areas.
Collaborate with HR Business Partners to develop initiatives that strengthen employee satisfaction and productivity.
Maintain accurate records of ER cases, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
Generate periodic reports on trends, resolutions, and outcomes for HR leadership.
Use data analytics to identify recurring issues and recommend preventive measures.
To excel in this role, candidates should demonstrate a strong foundation in HR practices, conflict management, and labour law compliance.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline (mandatory).
Professional HR certifications such as CIPD, SHRM, or CHRP are a strong advantage.
Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in Employee Relations, HR Operations, or Labour Relations.
Proven track record of managing complex employee cases, investigations, and conflict resolution processes.
Previous experience in the financial services, banking, or corporate sector is preferred.
