Sunset Hospitality Group is currently looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Cashier to join our Daylife Division in Dubai.
As a Cashier, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions with speed, accuracy, and integrity. You’ll handle payments, process refunds, issue receipts, and ensure the smooth flow of operations at the front of the house.
Beyond managing the register, you’ll act as a brand ambassador, providing friendly and professional service that enhances every guest’s experience.
Greet and welcome customers warmly, creating a positive and engaging first impression.
Deliver prompt, friendly, and professional customer service during every transaction.
Respond to guest inquiries and requests efficiently, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Maintain a pleasant demeanor even in fast-paced or high-pressure environments.
Accurately handle cash, credit cards, checks, and electronic payment methods.
Process receipts, refunds, exchanges, vouchers, and discounts as per company policy.
Balance cash drawer at the start and end of each shift, ensuring accuracy in all records.
Prepare shift-end reports and hand over balances to the next cashier under supervisor oversight.
Follow all cash-handling and financial reconciliation procedures with precision.
Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to manage transactions.
Record and update sales data, promotions, and refunds accurately in the system.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of your workstation and register area.
Report any technical issues or discrepancies in a timely manner to supervisors.
Engage customers in conversation to identify their needs and make suggestive sales.
Promote ongoing offers, events, and brand experiences.
Support the Daylife team in achieving sales targets through proactive engagement.
Cooperate closely with floor staff, supervisors, and management to ensure seamless operations.
Participate actively in team briefings, sharing feedback and improvement ideas.
Support colleagues during busy shifts or special events.
Keep your cash station clean, organized, and ready for use.
Maintain sufficient supplies (receipts, change, stationery, etc.) at all times.
Attend scheduled meetings, training sessions, and staff briefings.
Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the management team.
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong sense of responsibility, a positive attitude, and a passion for customer service.
Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
Additional certification in Hospitality, Retail Management, or Finance is an advantage.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cashier, Sales Associate, or Frontline Customer Service Representative in the hospitality, retail, or restaurant industry.
Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of cash registers, POS systems, and cash handling procedures.
Basic computer literacy (MS Office, email communication, spreadsheets).
Experience using digital payment tools and accounting systems is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
High level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
Customer-focused mindset with a positive, approachable attitude.
Ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure.
Strong teamwork spirit and willingness to support colleagues when needed.
